The Ghosts and Poltergeists
of Belvedere-Tiburon, California
My name is John Mini. I'm an acupuncturist and herbalist. After twenty-two years of practice here in Marin, I decided to move my business to Tiburon's Ark Row back in May. I want to thank the Belvedere-Tiburon community for the very warm welcome that I've received since coming here. The curiosity, generosity and friendliness of the people here are a true blessing in my life.
In addition to doing my acupuncture work here, I'm also doing a large research study. This study is about the feng shui of the entire Tiburon Peninsula. I'm going to post the results of this research for our community on this website. I want to get to know this place well. I plan on staying here long-term.
As part of my research, I've been doing some web analytics on Belvedere-Tiburon. While doing this study, I discovered something very interesting that I want to share with you.
Belvedere-Tiburon is haunted.
It's true. The number of people here who do web searches on subjects like ghosts, poltergeists and spooks is completely out of proportion for a community the size of ours. As far as I can figure it, this means:
a) Someone's doing a PhD on the undead in our midst,
b) a team of researchers is finding out everything they can on these subjects to make a movie, or
b) we've got an interesting issue going on here.
The numbers are so high that I believe many people in Belvedere-Tiburon are looking for answers about ghosts and poltergeists.
Are you one of them?
Now if you were having experiences with ghosts and poltergeists in your home or office, would you run out and share this information with your neighbors? I doubt it. That's why I think I've uncovered a genuine community issue that could benefit from a community focus.
Our little problem isn't a surprise to me. Just take a look around our beautiful peninsula on any sunny day. You'll find many seniors meandering around town lost in memories. They live in the past. They keep threads of energy and relationship connected with those who have crossed over into other dimensions. Those threads create welcoming vortices of energy for a host of phenomena.
Our old houses, Belvedere-Tiburon's rich and varied history, the feng shui of our location on the bay, Elephant Rock and the ghastly legacy of Angel Island all add up to a perfect storm for visitations from the dead.
I like to work alone on Ark Row late into the night. To be honest, can get really spooky down here in the wee hours. I'm very sensitive to this kind of thing. I'm not happy about it, but it's a fact.
I have better things to do than become one of those guys who helps people talk with the dead. Yet the ghosts of Belvedere-Tiburon are insistent. They have a story to tell. Even though I'm very clear that their story isn't going to come through me, I believe it can come through the communications they're having with the people here in our community.
It seems their story is a puzzle, and each of us holds a critical piece of the whole picture. Over time, we can piece together the story the dead want to tell. Who knows where it will lead and what it will teach us?
I admit that I'm very curious about this story. I want to discover what it is, and I want your help.
If you live in Belvedere-Tiburon and you've had or are having any experiences with ghosts or poltergeists, would you please contact me here?
Thanks for your interest,
John Mini, M.S.C.M./ L.Ac.
